“Divine entertainment with a rockabilly / Burlesque twist. Get your best frock on and dance the night away with the one and only Truly Divine and her rockin Shadow Shakers.”
Aileen Hughes

The Shadow Shakers are “The Best Kept Secret in Dublin! A Five Star Entertaining Performamce! This band is Truly, truly Divine. Incredibly energy, a terrific performance every time they deliver, song choices, and dare I coin a phrase? Yes! “Fabulous!” They just ooze it! Oh how I wish they played every week! Book ’em Danno!”
Jenny Sutton Collins

“Close Your Eyes *** Stars – Dutch-born, Dublin-resident Burlesque artist Truly Divine (we have a hunch that’s not her real name) has emerged over the past five years as one of the more convincing of the rash of Irish singers channelling Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, et al. Divine’s live shows celebrate the frothier end of that tradition (think Blossom Dearie meets Doris Day), mixing flirty theatricality and an authentic sense of period with precise vocals and an attention to the musical details of the songs, ably abetted by pianist Josh Johnston. This 14-song selection from those shows, including lesser-heard standards like Down with Love and This Girls in Love with You, won’t change the world, but is nonetheless a poised and smile-inducing survey of an abidingly popular form.”
Cormac Larkin, The Ticket in The Irish Times

praise “Miss Truly DiVine is one of the few performers on the Irish music scene whose dulcet singing voice evokes not only Peggy Lee and Doris Day, but that entire era. Whether she’s singing her heart out on a rock and roll number, or soothing you with a slow jazz track, she brings you magically back in time.

Truly is funny and engaging, yet can easily play the background figure as much as she can have you in the palm of her hand. She curates each show to its audience and setting and helps to create a wonderful ambiance. She also has an incredible back catalog and knowledge of music which allows her to make each show unique. If you want someone who will make you lose yourself and set the tone for a wonderful night, you want Miss Truly DiVine.”
Anna Taylor, Producer of Film Fatale

“Sublime singer and true professional. A joy to work with..”
Dominique DiVine, Dublin Burlesque Festival

praise“Truly was bandleader for our wedding over Christmas in Dublin. She’s a perfect wedding singer, great balance of songs to dance and listen to, judged the crowd beautifully. Truly and the boys, as always, were utterly professional and made everything run so smoothly. All our guests were talking about them; they made our day! We could not recommend her and the lads highly enough.”
Happy Bride, Wedding

“My wife hired Truly to perform a surprise ‘Singing Telegram’ for our anniversary. I was completely overwhelmed and the entire office was delighted to experience the magic of Truly Divine right there in the middle of our conference room during lunch! Truly belted out our favourite love songs with style, panache, and theatrical showmanship .. an anniversary present that I’ll never forget!”
Devon Wolfgang, Touchpress

“[Truly] sang a mix of Marlene’s songs from her movies and cabaret shows. While I have to admit I didn’t actually know any of them, it was a very engaging performance and between each song we learned a little of Marlene’s life story. Miss Truly DiVine remained in character for the whole performance and walked in between the tables in all areas of the cafe ensuring that the entire audience felt part of the show. I have to say she was very entertaining.”

Bloomsday: The Phonex Park Murders – “The songs were sung by a Dutch lady whose stage name is Truly DiVine. And truly divine they were. This lady is a self taught jazz singer with professional theatrical training and she is a wow. A beautiful voice with a great variety of tonality and great delivery. [] .. her Joyce songs, interspersed with commentary were great. I’d have listened all night.”
